EPISODE 1 SHOW NOTES

I can’t believe it, but my podcast is officially LIVE and out into the world! I am beyond excited, and truly honored that you are listening, so thank you for being here with me.

For this first episode, I really just want this to be an introduction into who I am, and why I’m doing what I am today in this space. I’ve spent years on this path; I’ve been on both sides when it comes to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and I really do get it! Even when I was working as a nurse and I loved my job, I still felt like I was on the wrong side of healthcare.

In today’s episode, I’m talking about:

  • My story of working as a registered nurse (my dream job in labor and delivery), to then experiencing a life-changing transformation during yoga teacher certification. Yoga teacher training changed me and helped me re-direct my path; it actually healed wounds I didn’t even know existed, and shifted my life in a way that would never be the same.
  • How I work with both mothers and babies during pregnancy and postpartum (my unique specialties as a massage therapist and Ayurvedic postpartum doula). I knew I wanted to help people in a deep, holistic, and mind-body-soul way, so I ended up going to massage therapy school. I've been trained in prenatal massage, infant massage, and prenatal yoga. I now specialize in prenatal massage therapy, as well as craniosacral therapy for both mothers and babies in my current practice. Being able to unlock and release trapped emotions in the body due to trauma, pain, etc. is truly powerful work, and something I am very passionate about! I'm also trained as an Ayurvedic postpartum doula, so I'm really helping moms deeply heal themselves, and learn how to care for themselves. They deserve to be nurtured and cared for so they can actually thrive in this period, not just merely survive.
  • Why I’m now on the other side of healthcare, supporting and empowering women during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I know I'm here to help mothers see that they can open up in this amazing and transformative way so that they CAN do everything they're meant to do and become in this life!

My journey to becoming a holistic birth coach & childbirth educator is only just beginning.

I always knew I wanted to help women in birth, and honestly, throughout all stages of life. I want mothers to flourish and thrive in this world-not just simply survive. I’m here to remind you that you are a magnificent, powerful being, and you ARE capable of creating an amazing birth experience and motherhood journey.

I truly believe empowered births are the way to a better future, and collectively as mothers, we absolutely can change the future!
